Cook over low heat for 1 and 1/2 hours. Squeeze out saag and keep its water aside. Mash saag in the cooker until coarsely ground and add makki atta. Mix well. Put back the saag water along with a little fresh water and boil on slow flame. Add ginger and green chillies and cook until the saag becomes thick.Â For the masala, add chopped onions, ginger, garlic, red pepper powder, garam masala and dhania until the onions become golden brown. The ingredients required to makeÂ Punjabi Kadhi with baked pakorasÂ recipe are as follows:-3 cups yoghurt, 1 cup gram flour, 1 tsp turmeric, 1 tsp chilli powder, Salt to taste, 1 tsp garam masala, 6 cups water, 1/4 cup oil, 1/2 tsp heeng, 2 tsp cumin seeds, and 5-6 whole red chillies.Â For the pakoras:-Â 1 cup gram flour, and 1 tsp salt.Â How to make it? Mix the gram flour, chilli powder, turmeric, garam masala and salt. Gradually add yoghurt to this mixture to form a smooth paste. For the masala, heat oil in a pan and add heeng, jeera and whole red chillies. When this splutters, add the flour and yoghurt mixture and bring to a boil. Simmer over low heat till it thickens a bit.To make the pakoras:-Preheat the oven to 200-degree celsius. Mix gram flour, 1 tsp salt and water to make a thin paste. Place silicone moulds on a baking tray and grease each one with some oil. Â Put spoonfuls of mixture in the moulds and place it in the oven. Bake for 20 minutes.
